Waiting for Dawn is an alternative gothic rock project inspired by the novel Bloody Idol by Myska Antari.The music brings the fictional band from the story into the real world through atmospheric rock songs exploring immortality, loss and identity.Each song reflects fragments of the band's story and the dark world they inhabit.

Timeline

2017 — Waiting for Dawn is founded by Gabriel Dawning and Henning Hale in the Bloody Idol universe.
Erik Kaquinius, Mark Lionheart and Vadim Hale join the band during its earliest formation that same year.2019 — Frederico Silva joins the band after being discovered by the members during a fan event.2023 — Daniel Wendel is discovered during the filming of a music video and later joins the band.2024 — Following the death of founder Gabriel Dawning, the band enters a new era.2025 — Marcel Weisz joins the band as backing vocalist and stage coordinator.
Waiting for Dawn also steps beyond fiction and becomes a real-world music project.
